Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport has issued new guidelines for passengers arriving via Vande Bharat Mission flights and special international flights running under India’s air bubble arrangements with different nations across the world.
Guidelines for international passengers arriving at Bengaluru airport
- International passengers will be thermally screened. They will also undergo pulse oximeter tests.
- Symptomatic passengers will be separated and sent to a COVID health centre for test.
- Passengers will be home quarantined or get admitted at a COVID hospital depending upon the results.

- Home quarantine compulsory for 14 days. In case it is not possible, then passengers can go for institutional quarantine.
- Passengers violating home quarantine rules will be prosecuted accordingly, as per a circular issued by the Government of Karnataka.
- Documents to be presented at the airport.
- Confirmed return ticket of not more than seven days from the date of arrival.
- Purpose of visit/invitation letter.
- Place of stay/hotel reservation.
- Valid visa.
- Test and quarantine not needed for short duration visits of 48 hours from arrival.
- COVID-19 test on landing is mandatory.
- If tested negative, passengers can go ahead for personal/work engagements
- Passengers with negative RT-PCR report, done within 96 hours of the trip, are spared from testing on arrival.
